Spiritual Addiction

I often come across people who try and hide from their problems in new agey goobly goop they simply swap one addiction for another like a fast food junkie they no sooner have devoured one workshop/course then they are off looking for the next fad the next ‘In’ thing. They search for enlightenment takes over their whole life they shed friendship some they have had for years and look for ‘like minded souls’. The reality is as my guides once told me you really do have to feel the earth beneath your feet to touch the stars.
Your spirituality should be part of your daily life not your whole life. Another good saying before enlightenment chop wood light fire after enlightenment chop wood light fire.
I am a psychic it would be very easy for me to lose myself in my spirituality. But I make sure I stay firmly grounded in this life and I always remember my greatness is not one thing but many.
Be very careful not to become a new age junkie

Food for the Soul

Psychics have to eat too and I have been trying to go organic and introduce more vegetarian meals into my diet so here is my contribution to nurturing your body slow roasted tomato tart enjoy Punnet cherry tomatoes halved 1 tblspn olive oil 2 onions finely sliced ¼ cup vegetable stock 2 tblspns balsamic vinegar ½ tspn honey 1 sheet puff pastry ‘ Danish feta cheese 100g Basil leaves Preheat oven 160 c Line baking tray place halved tomatoes face up bake 40 minutes Heat oil cook onions add stock cover cook low heat 20 minutes Add vinegar honey cook 5 minutes Remove tomatoes increase oven 220c Place pastry on a lined tray cut edges 1cm in to form border Spread over onion mixture top with tomatoes and feta bake 20-25 minutes Top with basil Topics: Uncategorized | 1 Comment » By Robin J Psychic | April 26, 2008 Forget about New Age the John Edwards James Van Praag Silvia Browne go back in history a bit to when service rather than money was the motivator. There are some wonderful Mediums Psychics hidden in the archives including one I have just encountered Ursula Roberts. We tend to focus on the big names but this art of ours didn’t simply appear from no where there were people who paved the way who layed the foundation. If you are seriously interested in the spiritual world go back to where it all began and work your way forward. Work your way through the words of those whose only intent was to share their knowledge not line their pockets. You will be amazed at how much of what was written way back then is incorporated in todays New Age Spiritualist movement. Empathy being the ability to feel know understand what it is like to be in someone else’s shoes. If I do not posssess empathy I might as well give up my day job of being a psychic because I am not going to truly feel what you do even with the most wonderful psychic abilities. The thing about the this skill is it requires you to be in the moment you cannot have empathy for someone when you are they are baring their soul to you and you are in the future planning the grocery list. You have to be totally unconditionally there. Intuitive people feel….I repeat they feel…how can you tell an person who has this skill? They listen rather than speak…..they listen rather than attempt to fix….they can stop their minds long enough to listen to their hearts. It is all well and good to want to be the next Silvia Browne but you would touch more lives in a far more meaningful way and even change more lives by simply tuning in to the people around you. Developing skills such as empathy tunes you into life it requires you to become aware of subtle things such as body language, the things not spoken. I am not just tuning into the energy when I am reading someone I am tuning into their life their worries their fears doubts insecurities. If I did not have the ability the skill of empathy I might miss the subtle changes needed to nudge people into their greatness. I might give the broad outline of jobs careers travel family…..and miss the moment where a simply “I know that has to be tough for you” might have made all the difference. That goes for Psychics as well we are not immune to human emotions and feelings. The one thing that is true for all of us is things are easier to see if we remove ourselves from them. When we get caught up in our emotions in our responses to other people’s emotions it is very hard to see with objectivity and clarity. That is part of the reason I can see what you cannot it’s because I am not emotionally connected to the situation or experience. That is true when we go to a therapist or even when we talk to the stranger at the bus stop. To really hear your inner voice in the moment you have to shut down your ego voice. To really hear your inner voice in the moment you have to shut out the chaos of the outside world. Intuition is a knowing we all have it….I am sure everyone has felt the knowing time to stop or this will just get worst….yet what do we do we ignore this feeling and keep going until yep you guessed it things get worst. Intuition is the niggling feeling that will not go away until we push it away. You simply have to get better at listening to your body. It will tell you when things are not right when its time to take a step back and a breathe. When you are in a situation and you get that gut reaction thats intuition when you are in a situation and you start to feel tense feel heightened emotions that is your body saying you know what time to take a step back and a breathe. Everyone needs a moment to call their own…. You do not have to have a huge space a fancy space a filled with all things space…..just a quiet place with a few of your favourite things as the song goes…. So I am going to show you what will be my space in fact its the basement which isn’t one of those wonderful finished spaces in fact it is not designed to be used as a room. But I can make it my own sanctuary add some things that remind me of who I am I am not wealthy so the things you will see are everyday items that have been stuffed away and recycled into my masterpiece. The art on the wall is mine it reflects a side of me the creative me. I love to woodburn and I love the native culture it has also been part of me although I admit I have a bitsa faith bits of this and bits of that. These are my totem animals and medicine wheel. As you can tell it is a work in progress on this wall will be the 4 Arch Angels in archways and this is the third wall which has my affirmation spoons hanging down and buddha and Sitting Bull in the corner. Its a bitsa room which reflects who I am and it will be a place to go and meditate to think to sit and talk with my partner away from the chaos of the world. But you do not need a whole room you can have a corner with a few cushions and a small table with things that represent you on it. Or a basket with a blanket that you can take out doors somewhere. Everyone needs a moment to reconnect to the deepest part of who they are I hope I inspire you to create your own little space it doesnt have to fancy expensive or a designer catalogue model. Firstly you have to have a strong belief that there is something bigger than you out there. You have to have the faith required to step where there are no steps…. but most of all you have to have patience and you have to let go of expectations there is no right or wrong way or set time frame. My suggestion would be to light a candle find a quiet room and bring to your mind all those unanswered questions you have and then let them sit there. You may like to practice automatic writing which is simply picking up a pen and writing down whatever comes into your head whether it makes sense to you or not. Guides often use this method of communication. You might like to simply lie down with your eyes closed and picture going into a room with 2 chairs sitting on one and waiting for your guide to come sit on the other. Whether you know it or not your guides and Angels are in constant communication with you those little signs that tell you maybe this would be a good idea or maybe this would not be a good idea. The words that come into your head and you stand there thinking where did that come from? My best piece of advice is to let go of any New Age goobly goop it has to be done this way advice you may have read or heard. Let go of any New Age concept of what your guides should look like talk like be like. There are no rules here…. I always ask my Guides Angels Spirit even Higher Power to come to me in unconditional love divine light and highest good. In time you will become aware of what is your ego mind and what is not. There is a very distinct different between the two. For example my Guides do not tell me to do anything….I always have the choice theirs is a guiding voice. I do not get time frames Spirit operates far differently than us time is not a constraint for them. When you hear the voice of our soul it will come from a place far removed from your head. Again each person travels a different road so let go of expectation. When it is the right time for you to hear your guides you will hear them. Chances are you would brush him aside as a bit on the crazy side. You go to a Psychic who tells you that in a year you will win lotto and travel overseas and change jobs. Chances are you will walk away going wow isn’t she good! My question is why would you assume the homeless man was nuts and the Psychic a Mystic? It’s all a question of perceptions…. It is harder for a Psychic to tune into your life in the present than it is to pull a few predictions out of a hat. Chances are good that in the next 5 yrs of your life you will change jobs go on a trip win some money thats got more to do with the laws of probability than Psychic ability. I would be horrified to learn anyone took the messages I pass on to them on face value alone. Everyone should apply their own truth logic and inner voice to whatever anyone gives them. My truth is all I can stand in and for me the future is always created in the present and the only one who can know where you are meant to be headed is you. And because the future is not a reality I find predictions to be irrelevant. I believe that if I place a thought with you it will grow into the prediction for no other reason than it has been placed in your subconscious but thats just my truth as a Psychic. And when you get the job the trip the win what then? Wouldn’t you want to know what is preventing you creating the life you want right now? Wouldn’t you want to know old patterns beliefs hurts that are holding you back? If you can change the reality of the moment you are now in don’t you think that will change the future you will walk into? Think carefully before you ask what does the future hold for me? Think about the greatness you hold within the power you possess to create the life you want. Then ask what is stopping me stepping into that greatness give me some tools to build the life I want. This is my truth probably a lone voice but I need to respect you as a divine child of the universe I have to let you know I believe in your greatness and the power you have within.
